As you look from the outside at the end opening doors, the side opening doors are always to the right-hand side of the unit as seen when looking at the standard cargo doors. Left-hand side opening containers are available sometimes but not as often we we’d like.

Also, if you need rapid access to items, or if you’re storing any stock that is simply too big to fit through the end doors in a shipping container, a side-opening container is an ideal solution.

As a rough guide, these are around twice the price of a standard, end-opening new build container – there’s a lot of specialized engineering that goes into these side doors and as they are specialist containers they aren’t built in the sorts of volumes that standard shipping containers are built in – so the factories can’t offer the same economies of scale.

Please be advised that these are sold as ‘one trip containers’ and are not brand new. All of our shipping containers are built in the factory in China or the Far East and have done 1 trip to the US since new. Some minor cosmetic wear may be evident from this initial trip. Minor dents and scrapes are reasonably common, as are tire marks inside your container where a forklift truck or similar may have unloaded goods from inside the container.
